Nature - the beauty and fragility of flowers, the delicacy of insects and butterflies and the flowing forms of birds and animals - is inspirational to Franz Porcelain’s sculptors. They’ve merged their keenly observed images with the sinuous, organic lines and the vibrant colours of the West’s famous Art Nouveau style and the result is imaginative, collectable and highly functional porcelain for the twenty-first century home.
This vase features a delicate flower whose stem and leaves curve around the opening of the vase to create an unconventional shape. A butterfly with a single protruding wing detail also rests close to the opening.
